Our History:

It all started in 1952 when my parents, Paul and Phyllis DeTray, purchased a 1946 Spartan trailer which they pulled behind their 1951 Ford Sedan. In 1954, they outgrew the Spartan and stepped up to a 35-foot Roll-A-Home for the outrageous price of $4,100.00. My parents raised 5 children in a single wide trailer; imagine that!

Paul & Phyllis, graduates from Puyallup High School, started a career in the mobile home business in 1962. They hold claim to the title, "oldest retailer still operating in the northwest." My mother and father purchased a 20 x 55 Ocean- Sider. It was the first double wide to be brought into the state of Washington by a dealer to sell. My parents describe their venture in the manufactured home business, from 1962-2002, a great life.

The DeTray family believes in the homes that we sell. Today, I can honestly say that every one of my siblings and myself, either live in a manufactured home or have owned one in the past. We have been blessed to create very comfortable surroundings to raise our families. Recently three members of the third generation have purchased manufactured homes for their new beginnings.

The torch to the family business was passed to the second generation in 2002 when my parents retired. I, Dana DeTray and my wife Diane continue the tradition of providing our customers with quality homes and great service. Customer satisfaction is Job # 1; we treat our customers like we want to be treated. This is what has always set DeTray's apart from others.
